Laniakea before Eyeballing Pipeline

went to north shore and had a good day yesterday. did a short surf session. stayed on the inside cuz the wavezees biggy and scawey. went to watch some pipeline action and saw mad bodyboarding goodness. it is giving me a bb bug. saw marc cunningham and found this vid of his waterman prowess. (1 min in vid is good clip) earlier in day i drove up there with tom of the surfsession report and he gave us the captains tour. learned mad shizz and hung with him as he shot his surf session. will link to it when he posts.

at the visitor center waiting to acclimatize to the altitude. drove up the 13,779 ft. mountain in a 4wd. had a tour of mad good telescopes. saw the samurais, oops i mean the sunrise.

Hike and Sandy's Beach

This morn I went for a hike with Kevin. We got to the top and there was two park benches to chill on. These pix are opposite views from eachother. From the top it was the first time I could see another Island from Oahu.

It was amazing how at different spots there was a significant temperature change from cool to hot. I got sunburnt. Bad Stache.











Then I scooted out to Sandy's Beach to watch some body boarding. The waves were hugeness and I watched some sick shizz and some super crunches. I tried to read but got halfway down the page and passed out.

Makapuu Beach is a bad arse spot for the bodyboarders and was difficult to stay in the surf too long. Made me tired, yo.

I have been growing the Stache as tribute to magnum PI, but now I have shaven down to Stache and Neckbeard. This is new and much the adventure.
This guy is growing all beards he can but neck beard and stache is not on the list.

But alas, here I am finishing another day of Hawaiian living. We are in full fledged post production mode trying to get this show built. Lots to do and little time.

Here is early production relaxation footage of Norman singing a great song. Drop Baby Drop. He performed it 3x because we all begged. Believe me--it is wonderful.

Can feminists forget about women? Can they see how degrading it is to have a woman used to pull a female vote? The new york times article today spoke of how Palin is not changing minds
of some women and even steering them away. I guess we all need to find out how she stacks up (pun intended) get it stacked... Like boobies, wow that is degrading. The real question is whether Meredith is a real American and will vote even though she lives in a place where I hear they have an Emperor, which gets tax money, even though it is just a position that has been historically held and has no bearing on politics or ruling.

note: We played a drinking game listening to the Obama acceptance speech, in which we had to drink if he said key words determined before hand. The words were "Change", "Hope", and also we had to drink if he bashed Bush hard.

Now, in preparation for the John acceptance we are trying to think of key words. Any help? The decision so far is to drink when he tells an anecdotal story, and then have to do a shot of whiskey if he remarks on his own storytelling habit.

At Shark's Cove I watched scuba people go under water as I ate skrimps from da van.

Wimea Bay I saws dolphins frolickin' and found an army dude in the water.

Wimea bay and all of north shore is mad surf spots. Like Pipeline, but only in winter. All calm now. Local told me Shark's cove has turtles and turtle bay has sharks.
